There have been many studies conducted exploring the reasons behind older men dating younger woman.
One of them published in the journal Evolutionary Psychology, looked at 400 romantic ads in the Swedish newspapers Göteborgs-Posten and Aftonbladet and on the websites Spraydate and Of a total of 97 men who mentioned age in their ads, only three were looking for an older partner — among men aged 40 to 59, only one out of 67.
“They report an interest in both younger and older women.”And of course in the real world, Antfolk stressed, neither men nor women base their romantic choices on age alone.“We look for many different characteristics when choosing a partner, and age is just one of them,” he said.
For the study, Antfolk surveyed nearly 2,700 adults between the ages of 18 and 50.

But anyway.) It’s just so transparent, watching one of these paragons of fragile masculinity take his male privilege out for a spin and realize he can date someone so young she won’t know how inappropriate it is. Why not father a child you’ll be too old to raise properly while you’re at it?
The exact ages and differentials vary, but each one reinforces one important point: Women get less valuable as they age, while men just get to enjoy the ride.
Older men hooking up with younger women is probably as old as time itself.
You might have come across a distant memory of a boring history lecture involving kings, aristocrats, or some other important figure having married someone many years his junior. but with the added bonus of hushed whispers of gossip and intrigue, questioning the motives of both the man and the woman.
